ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Data Analyst at Navixy, you will work alongside our Head of Data and collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and key business stakeholders. Your primary focus will be on transforming IoT and telematics data into actionable insights — from data modeling and report creation to dashboard development and domain-driven analytics. You will leverage your understanding of fleet management, logistics, and field services to design meaningful metrics, KPIs, and data products that drive decision-making and innovation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Data modeling and analytics
- Design and refine logical data models to support reporting and BI dashboards, ensuring alignment with fleet management, delivery, and logistics domain requirements
- Perform in-depth data analysis on geospatial, time-series, and sensor data to uncover trends, patterns, and operational insights
- Collaborate with data engineering to ensure data pipelines, ETL/ELT workflows, and schemas meet analytical needs
BI and visualization
- Develop interactive dashboards, reports, and templates using Superset, Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI platforms
- Create well-structured, insightful visualizations and self-service analytics tools that cater to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Maintain and optimize existing reports, ensuring data accuracy, performance, and usability
Domain expertise and insights
- Apply your knowledge of fleet management, delivery, field services, and logistics to define key metrics (e.g., fuel consumption, route efficiency, driver behavior)
- Collaborate with product managers to identify new analytical opportunities, shaping feature roadmaps and product enhancements.
Data quality and process improvement
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency by performing validation checks and championing best practices
- Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of analytics methodologies, processes, and tools
- Stay current with emerging analytics tools, data visualization best practices, and IoT domain trends
- Propose innovative ways to utilize advanced analytics and BI capabilities to elevate Navixy’s data products and offerings
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- BS / MS in Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a similar role
- Proficient in SQL and comfortable with querying large, complex datasets
- Hands-on experience with BI and visualization tools (e.g., Superset, Power BI, Tableau)
- Familiarity with data modeling techniques (star schema, snowflake schema) and best practices
- Basic understanding of ETL/ELT processes and collaboration with data engineers
- Ability to write Python or R scripts for data exploration (nice to have)
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills; able to translate complex data into actionable insights
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to present data findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Detail-oriented, self-driven, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
